Eldon is a gifted communicator, drawing on three decades of experience as a classroom teacher, resource teacher, and school principal. He holds a Masters in Educational Administration (M.Ed.) from the University of Manitoba.

Along with his son Ryan, Eldon's "Invisible Backpack" workshop series has inspired thousands of teachers, administrators, and support staff in dozens of schools, equipping them for the challenges facing today's education system, and reminding them that their work can make a difference that lasts a lifetime.

Eldon motivates educators to look beyond behaviors to see who students really are and delivers practical tools aimed at raising up a generation of resilient young people.

ABOUT Ryan
Ryan is the other half of this father-son duo, having joined Eldon to lead workshops in dozens of schools across the province and beyond. Ryan has worked with at-risk youth for over a decade, in the non-profit and public education system.
Ryan was the Director of Samson’s Fitness Centre, a youth recreation, mentorship, and ministry program in downtown Winnipeg.
Ryan suffered a spinal injury on a football field in 2009, a moment that changed the course of his life. He has a passion for helping others overcome adversity and lead resilient lives.
Ryan leads sessions focused on building impactful relationships with your students, creating a resilient culture, and developing a mentoring approach in your calling to work with young people.
