Eldon
"there is a chair in my school for every student"
Eldon walked the halls of elementary, junior, and senior high schools for over 30 years. As an administrator, Eldon redefined what it meant to be"called to the principal's office".
From the classroom to the resource room to the principal's office, Eldon's hands-on approach to teaching and leading staff & students was, and continues to be infectious.

A leader, teacher, and mentor to many; his heart has always been to relentlessly pursue relationship with each person in his building. Eldon has worked as an Educational Consultant since 2017, pouring his energy into educators across Canada and the United States, speaking to Bus Drivers, Teachers, Educational Assistants, Principals, and School Boards. His message is a profound one, affecting schools, families, and communities.

Every day, any number of students come to school having experienced difficult life events and/or ongoing mental health issues, which become interfering factors in their lives. These interfering factors will most likely impact their ability to learn.

Students struggling with interfering factors often demonstrate a reluctance or outright resistance to learning. This is particularly frustrating for educators when it appears that students have the ability to do the work. Assessing difficult and struggling students is an ongoing pressure for teachers, especially when the reasons for a student's behaviors or learning issues are not apparent to us as educators and professionals.

" A resilient school culture starts with resilient educators, determined to reach students on an intellectual and heart level through strategic adaptation, teamwork, relationship building, and pure perseverance. Your school, your classroom, is the premier place to develop resilience capacity in children and teens, and nobody is better positioned to do so than you. This type of reslient culture sets the stage for a lifetime of success."

Not merely another "to-do list" to drop on teachers and school staff who already feel overwhelmed, Eldon shares practical wisdom gleaned from the gritty stories of thousands of students and teachers he has coached across his three decades of experience. Heartwarming, humorous, challenging, and chalked full of wisdom, you will not be the same after your sessions with him.
